Meet the Solar Gain Team
Roman Black, President
As a founding member of Solar Gain, Roman has achieved major success in commercial solar project development and sales since 2010. He has an unwavering commitment to continuing the company’s track record of excellence — and his own. Clients throughout California and Arizona recognize him as a proficient, helpful industry expert.
He consistently creates the best possible financing options for clients through strong funder relationships and assertive pursuit of financial incentives.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in business finance from the University of Arizona. He holds electrical licenses in California and Arizona.
Roman spent several years in Costa Rica expanding his expertise in sustainable industries. He managed the construction of custom homes that integrated such technologies as rainwater harvesting and solar power.
When he returned to the U.S., he became president of Solar Gain. He led the company through the turbulent early years and still grew its revenue by over 100% YOY for many of those years. Today, he’s proud of the solid company he’s built, one that changes lives.
Roman is passionate about safeguarding the environment. He’s fluent in Spanish.
Tim Graunke, Vice President
Tim’s clients say he excels at understanding their needs and executing creative solutions. Being in the solar industry since 2007, he’s also an expert at driving efficient processes and boosting team morale.
He graduated from the University of Arizona with a bachelor’s degree in economics. Upon graduation, he moved to Honolulu and started a career in the solar industry.
Through his early project and construction management experience, he became proficient at completing projects on schedule and within budget. Soon, he became the lead commercial project manager for one of Hawaii’s top companies. He then returned to his native Tucson to develop projects at Solar Gain.
Tim is passionate about sustainability, electrification, conservation of wildlife and natural resources, and leading people toward a unified vision. He loves to help others grow and enjoys mentoring youth through volunteer opportunities such as coaching athletics and Big Brothers Big Sisters.
In his downtime, Tim enjoys golf, yoga, spending time with family and friends, and his dog Leila.

Ricardo Silva, Senior Project Manager
Ricardo brings his knack for high-quality results and aptitude for communication into everything he does. Since entering the construction sector in 2006, he has gained a reputation for being honest, proactive, and industrious. He’s had consistent success in planning and executing residential and commercial solar projects.
He graduated from Northern Arizona University with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. Having owned a successful solar company in Mexico, he found himself at home with Solar Gain.
Ricardo combines his technical expertise with a human touch. He’s proud to see his team improve and his contributions make an impact. He strives to achieve true sustainability, both in the organization and the environment.
He’s also a proud father and husband who loves snowboarding and is a fan of boxing.
Sol Hassler, Lead Commercial Designer
A combination of technical proficiency, domain expertise, and creative resourcefulness gives Sol a unique advantage in the industry.
Sol entered the industry driven by a lifelong interest in technology and sustainability. He’s always wanted to be a part of the solution to the climate crisis and do his part to expand clean energy; he’s fulfilling those wishes daily in his work.
He has a deep fascination with sustainable design, an area in which he gets to solve challenges through his creative prowess often.
Besides clean energy, Sol (whose name, serendipitously, means “Sun” in Latin) loves to stay busy. He always has several active projects outside of work, which he uses to explore many different areas of knowledge.
Chelsie Pribonic, Operations Project Engineer
With an unrelenting drive, Chelsie strives for excellence in everything she does. She’s known among her clients and colleagues for her helpful disposition and for her robust contributions to the company. Her knowledge of various sciences, processes, and software makes her a versatile professional.
Chelsie graduated from the University of Arizona with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. She entered the solar industry driven by a passion for renewable energy.
By working with each department, she has helped unify Solar Gain into a more cohesive organization. She finds profound satisfaction in the operations improvements she’s helped catalyze.
Chelsie loves to travel, camp, hike, dance, nurture her many pets, and take part in art and DIY projects. She keeps a close eye on the progress of the energy storage field, with which she has hands-on engineering experience.
Andrew Wible, Service Manager
Andrew delights his customers through his expertise in project management, customer service, and solar energy. He serves with empathy, courtesy, and the mastery that comes from a decade of residential, commercial, and off-grid solar experience.
He holds a bachelor’s degree from Union Institute & University. He’s succeeded in many roles in the solar industry, including designer, operations manager, and service and quality manager. He was the co-owner of a solar power worker’s cooperative.
He finds great fulfillment in building effective teams, solving thorny problems, and building a strong community. He does his best to contribute to the improvement of the environment through clean energy.
As an artist, Andrew has appeared on television and at special events in New York City. He collaborated on The Gates, a Central Park exhibit by world-renowned artists Christo and Jeanne-Claude. His three pets are rescue animals.
Robert Neifert, Director of Business Development
With a keen interest in people and the planet, Robert considers himself a teacher and an advocate for his clients. He’s an expert at reducing the costs and energy demands of buildings while improving their comfort. His passion for clean energy helps organizations understand how it can support their missions.
He’s helped several companies grow extensively. He has several energy efficiency and green building certificates. His clients and peers say he’s deeply involved in their success.
After wholehearted deliberation early in his career, Robert resolved to work in energy, which proved to be the right choice. His passion is to improve people’s lives and the environment. He’s thrilled to be a part of the global advance toward 100% clean energy.
He volunteers as a Co-Chair of the Policy Committee for AriSEIA — Arizona’s solar association — where he helps develop and advocate for large-scale climate-related energy policies.
Robert loves gardening. He and his family love outdoor adventures. They’re out in nature almost every weekend.
John Reusche, Commercial Business Development
John’s peers and clients recognize him as an optimist who communicates honestly, resolves concerns kindly, and gets things done promptly. He’s passionate about the process of designing and building products that benefit not only his clients but also society.
As a licensed general contractor, he specializes in commercial steel buildings, solar arrays, and medical tenant improvements.
John — a UC Berkeley grad — is committed to creating a sustainable, clean environment for future generations. He’s served as president of Stockton Rotary and the Engineers Club of Stockton. He’s also been the director of the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards camp, an intensive annual leadership training, for over 20 years.
He loves outdoor activities and flying as a pilot. He’s a dedicated husband and a proud father of two.
